BACHELOR THESIS
No other part of the body reveals about yourself as much as your own face. It is the most important communication tool and unleashes an unconscious analytic mechanism at your opposite’s in order to to give a first impression.
The psycho-physiognomy is a centuries-old theory which concerns to Carl Huter’s studies. It says that human’s characteristics can be read by its body and face proportions. It is an approach to structure, analyse and interpret your impressions within seconds about somebody you meet for the very first time. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine this hypothesis. Can you evaluate somebody by their outer appearance? Do judge a book by its cover?
In my graphical analysis of simplified drawn male and female faces, I consider this hypothesis and especially study the advertising effectiveness of different face proportions
